| High-quality asparagus with salt tolerance were selected for planting in salinized soil of Yellow River Delta by studying on the salt resistance and yield.Delaware Variety introduce and domestication were studied from 1998,with four salt-resistant strains introduced from Delaware America, Marry Washington as contrast, in Dongying Halophytes Garden .The result showed that all of the four strains growed well. The strain 1 # was short with green tender stem , tight head, quite low yield, small seed and 16.9 gram' 1000-grain weight. The strain 2 # was high with green tender stem , numerous and regular stems, tight and round head , high yield and disease-resistance and 17.5 gram'1000-grain weight. The strain 3# had thick stem, loop head , few stem , low yield, big seed and 20.3 gram'1000-grain weight. The strain 4# growed tall with thick stem , tight head , high yield and disease-resistance and 19.5 gram'1000-grain weight.Germination and potted plant test were diden with salt water in different density at 1999. The result showed that the decline in germination rate of 2 # and 4 # was smaller than others, and also the stem diameter ,stem height and stem quantity were quite better than 1 # , 3 # and contrast .In field test ,with 2‰-8 ‰ salt content ,2 # and 4 # displayed immense salt-resistance, the yield and plant growing were obviously better than others, especially in high salt-content field.Asparagus micropropagation was studied by tissue culture with stem top end. The propagation technic was mature, and it also can overcome rooting difficulty in tissue culture, extend propagation coefficient, preserve good variety quality.During the spreading of salt-resistant strains the advance of economic benefit was obvious ,that was about 115 kg/mu or 690 yuan/mu. Now, the whole spreading area was almost 1433hm~2.With the popularizing in salinized soil of Yellow River Delta, the peasants had improved their technology level and meliorated living status...
