The experiments in this study were initiated at Anqiu, Taian, Pingyin, Qixia, respectively, in September, 2003, using peach (Amygdalus persica (L.) Batch. Var. Chunjie), strawberry (Fragaria ananassa Duch. cv. Toyoka), grapes (Vitis vinifera var. Red Globe and V. vinifera cv Cabernet Sauvignon N) and apple (Malus domestica Borkh cv. Fuji) as materials. Both pot and field experiments were carried out to investigate the effects of bio-organic manure on fruit trees and to supply theorical methods to use it. The results were summarized as followed. 1. Application of 'Lv Yuan'manure enhanced soil temperature of 10cm deep by 2.2℃in greenhouse, meanwhile, manure was conducive to the initiation and growth roots, especially the the number of rootlets was 1.47 times more than those in the control, which avoided the phenomenon of "bud sprouting before blooming". In addition, trees in the treated soil showed 45.6% higher fruitset ratio, a 4 days longer duration of the first-time fruit expansion, a 10-12 days earlier ripening period than the controls, as well as increased single-fruit weight and fruit uniformity, and improved fruit quality. 2. 1 part of 'Lv Yuan'manure to 15 parts of orchard soil was appropriate. 'Lv Yuan'manure increased the number of root apical points by 1.17 times, fresh weight by 5.68g, diameter by 55.96 percent, total surface area by 117.28 percent, the vigor and respiratory intensity of root by 2.517 times. Effects of 'Lv Yuan'manure involved promoting shoot growth, i.e. increasing fresh weight by 10.65g, photosynthetic rate by 70.53 percent and root to top by 44.9 percent. In addition, it increased the yield per plant by 67.9 g. The contents of fructose, glucose and sucrose in strawberry were increased significantly, respectively, especially the glucose and sucrose. 3. Compared with other manures such as hen, sheep and cattle dungs, 'Lv Yuan'manure invited a great change in the quantity of soil good microorganisms. There were 7.6×108 actinomycetes in 'Lv Yuan'manure treated soil, it improved 252, 223 and 83 times than hen, cattle and sheep dungs respectively. The number of bacteria of it was also the most. While the content of fungi was the lowest. Subsequently, the improved soil imposed on the development and growth of roots. The fresh weight of root increased by 40.18...
