Glandless cotton is a rich source of fiber, cottonseed oil, cottonseed meal and feed because it produces gossypol-free cottonseed. The worker of glandless cotton breeding were done science 1970's, about 60 varieties were bred until 1990's. Information about the degree and distribution of genetic diversity relationships among breeding materials has a significant effect on crop improvement and can be considered at many different levels and using many different criteria. Phenotypic variation is important in the role of breeding materials in the environment and in genotypic interaction. Analusis of genotypic variation provides a basis for understanding the genetic basis of this waristion. DNA-based molecular marker will illustrate germplasm evaluation and more effectual open out novel genes or new genotypes and can offer important information of genetic basis for breeding. The genetic diversity of 202 glandless cotton experiment materials coming from different country and different provinces in china were researched through agronomic analysis and 71 glandless cotton varieties were researched through SSR , AFLP and SSR&AFLP analysis. The aim of this research is that some information about glandless cotton genetic materials can be obtained by breeder in the work of the breeding of glandless cotton in the future. Another aim is that serving for development cotton production improvement economic interest and the next wave of products would benefit the consumer directly, such as a healthier composition of lipids in oil and a more complete blend of vitamins in cereals. The results are as follows:1. 202 glandless cotton experiment materials be classified to 9 groups based on agronomic characters. With the SSR> AFLP and SSR&AFLP, 71 among the 202 cultivars all could be classified to 4 groups. The similar degree between AGs and SAGs was higher. The genetic diversity according to agronomic characters is abundance than the results be obtained from three molecular marker methods.2. The squared Euclidean distance was among 0.8339-145.25 based on the analysis of morphological characters. The squared Euclidean distance was among 35-111 by SSR, among 9-130 by AFLP and among 61-215 by SSR&AFLP.3. 247 polymorphic bands were detected through 33 pairs of SSR primers. The numbers of polymorphic bands is between 1 to 20. 38 experiment materials could be identified by the CIR291 primers pairs which has positive sign in six chromosomes. 69 cultivars among 71 glandless cotton could be identified by 33 pairs of SSR primers. 232 polymorphic bands were obtained from 427 bands which amplified by 10 pairs of AFLP primers. The most identification was 48 experiment materials for M61-E32... | | Keywords/Search Tags: | glandless cotton, genetic diversity, Agronomic Characters, SSR, AFLP | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
