Rice is one of the most important food crops. The main part of rice' s ripe seed is endosperm, which is closely related with productive proprieties. At the early developing stage of the endosperm, the more the times of the mitosis, the more the alveolis. This results in the potential for bigger endosperm. Weel gene is one major regulators that regulating the cell cycles and plays an important role in the development of the endosperm. If weel kinase too early restrains the effect of the CDKs, the cell division of the endosperm will stop at the early developing stage and enters the period of endoreduplication—only continuous S phase (only the replication of genetic product) without mitosis. Consequently, the cell number will drop and correspondingly, the seed' s storage will fall. Weel gene' s full length sequence has been cloned in maize, Arabidopsis thaliana and japonica. But , in indica, just a segment(542bp), also, there is no report about it.In our research, we cloned the weel gene in its early developing stage of the 9311 endosperm and the Guang-Lu-ai 4 hao endosperm, compared the discrepancy of the weel gene sequence of the between japonica cultivar-group and indica cultivar-group. In order to give a theoretics support for advancing rice productive proprieties . The results are as follows:1. Clone of the weel gene in its early developing stage of 9311 endospermFirstly, with the use of RT-PCR technology, we designed degenerate primers by referring to the highly...
