Study On Cultivation And Harvesting Time Of American Ginseng And Changes Of Ginsenosides In Its Plant

The papers has carried on systematic research on harvest time of cultivated American ginseng, according to the development regulation of the plant oneself, The appearance and tissue characters of one to four-year-old and four-year-old American ginsengs at different growing stages were observed. The contents of ginsenosides Rg1, Re,Rb1, Rc, Rb2,Rd, m-Rb1, m-Rc , m-Rb2, m-Rd were determined with HPLC.The weight of dried root, content of ginsenosides and the amount of ginsenoside per root in four-year-old plants were higher than one to three-year-old plants. So it was confirmed that four year was the optimum harvest time for American ginseng.The dry weight and amount of ginsenosides in four-year-old American ginseng were the highest at the stages of mature fruit and loss fruit during its development, So the optimum harvest time of culitivated American ginseng was from mature fruit to dropping fruitstage in the forth year growth.The cultivated methods of American ginseng in Fangzheng region were preliminarily studied. Some techniques of cultivating were investigated, It was found that 29.4% light rate, biological-fertilizer, removing flowers and bactericide were useful for the grwth of American ginseng.Furthermore, the changes of the growth of ginsenosides in different sections and tissues of American ginseng was stuied.
