Screenning Of Various Formula Of Multi-nutrient Premixes Uesd In Sichuan Rural Piglet Rations

The objective of this experiment is to single out piglet multi-nutrient premix formula for using in home-made piglet feed by small pig holders in Sichuan province. The study includes two feeding trails. Random block design was used to conduct the trials. Ninty-six piglets at the age of 35 days of weaned at 29 days age were divided into two parts, 48 piglet were allocated to four treatments for one trail, one with three replicates, 4 piglets in each. Two basal diets were formulated using the feed ingredients from the small pig farmer home crop production. The ingridents are corn, wheat bran, rapeseed cake, pea, soybean, silkworml. Diet I ( DE13.66MJ/kg> CP16.5%)was enriched with formula A,B,C to feed piglets for group 2,3,4 in trial one. Group one was fed the same ration as group 2 except trace-mineral premix. Diet II (ME14.35MJ/kg,CP18%)was enriched with formula E,F,G for group 2,3,4 in trail two, group one was fed the same ration as group two except trace-mineral premix inclusion.) Piglets had free access to feed and water. The experimental period lasted 30 days.Results of trail one showed that wheat gain, feed intake of treatments were significantly improved by inclusion of multi-nutrient premix A,B,C compared with the control .Feed conversion ratio(FCR) was significantly higher for multi-nutrient premix A,B than the control. In comparison with gross margins of treatment of premix G is best, andthe premix F, followed by premix E, the control was at the bottom. This indicated that it is necessary to supplement small pig farmer home made feed with multi-nutrient premix. Formula B was singled out to be best one.Results showed that growth performance of treatments supplemented with multi-nutrient premix E> F^ G was significantly increased(p<0.05). Gross margin of treatment with premix G, E, F was increased by 81.57%> 69.72% n 54.76%,repectively, in comparison with the control.This indicated that it is necessary to supplement small pig farmer home made feed with multi-nutrient premix even at a high nutritional level. Formula G was singled out to be best one. It was concluded that the formula of multi-nutrient premix C and G were recommended to extend to the small pig farmers.
