Through ultrasonic fragmentation, heat and centrifugation, the crude hormones liquid of Eriocheir sinensis' optic ganglia was obtained, and also 13 samples after the further isolation by reversed phase chromatography (RPC).The active scope of gonad inhibition hormone was determined by the determination of hyperglycaemic activity. In the bioassay for hyperglycemic activity, the hyperglycemic activity of sample 9 was significant. The sample 9 was estimated to be or containing Hyperglycemic hermone. The oocyte of Macrobrachium nipponense, which cultured with isolated samples, was used as heterologous in vitro bioassay. The in vivo bioassay was adapted homologous bioassay by injecting the isolated samples. All the results suggested that the sample 6 acted gonad inhibiting activity. After further isolation, the character of the active sample was analyzed. The Tricine SDS-PAGE revealed 8 belts of protein.Under 14.4Ku, there were two belts. Isoelectric focusing electrophoresis (IEFE) suggested also that there were hybridproteins. The iselectric point was about4.7-6.4.
