Hordeum brevisubulatium(Trin.)link is a kind of perennial forage grass belonging to gramineous type barley genus, alias Wild barley. Its tillering ability and cold endurance and salt-tolerance capacity are strong. By this,We can cultivate some salt-resistant new lines with more other excellent characters. 64 self-bred lines which have been planted 3 years are studied. We have selected 9 salt-resistant mutant lines (Line No 7-5, Line No 7-12, Line No 8-4, Line No 8-7, Line No 9-4, Line No 10-2, Line No 10-6, Line No 11-2, Line No 12-7) with prominent agronomic traits and basically accordant growth; Then, we study the culm lengh, tiller number, fresh weight, dry weight, stem/leaf ratio, single plant seed-yield and 1000-grain weight of these mutant lines and the control group(CK). We make variance analysis and multiple comparisons to these statistics. the results show that: 1) on culm lengh, fresh weight, dry weight: Line No 7-12, line No 8-7, line No 10-6 are better than the control group(CK); 2) on stem/leaf ratio: line No 10-6 is better than the control group(CK); 3) on tiller number, single plant seed-yield, 1000-grain weight: the 9 mutant lines and the control group(CK) are basically the same.From the above,we can suggest: On culm lengh, tiller number, fresh weight, Line 7-12,line 8-7,line 10-6 are apparently different from the control group(CK) in genetics; On stem/leaf ratio, line 10-6 are apparently different from the control group(CK) in genetics; on tiller number, single plant seed-yield, 1000-grain weight, the 9 mutant lines and the control group(CK) are basically the same in genetices. To promote the process of breeding, By RAPD-PCR, from 200 random primers,we have screened out 11 primers which can produce stable polymorphic difference among the 9 mutatious lines and the control group (CK).
