Epidemic Survey Of Avian Influenza In Yi Chang City And Studies On Its Controlling Tactics

Several serological methods of hemoagglutination inhibition test, Agar diffusion test and ELISA, were applied to investigate infectious situation of Avian Influenza in Yi Chang city. 3871 serum samples from five chicken farms, one quail farm, three trade markets and 55 clinic samples from chicken, duck and quail were tested. The results showed that Avian Influenza were having been in a part of chickens ducks and quails in Yi Chang districts. Especially in quail infected by H₇ subtype there were the ratio of death up to 85%. Chicken were infected by subtype H₅, H7 but the ratio of death is very low. Poultry breeding industries in Yi Chang has been severely threatened from Avian Influenza. A sensitive and instant diagnostic test must be introduced as soon as possible to detect Avian Influenza in our district. Department of government would were responsible for working out perfect forecast system of Avian Influenza infectious and strengthen quarantine model in order to ensure public health and poultry industrial development.
