The Effects Of Fresh Diet Eisenia Foetida On Growth And Immunological Parameters Of Shrimps

This paper studied the influence of fresh diet Eisenia foetida on the growth andimmunity of shrimp from nutriology and immunology, analyzed the resolution ofshrimp diseases, which will enrich theoretical and practical basis for promoting theapplying of earthworm in shrimp aquaculture. The results as follows:1. Fresh diet Eisenia foetida was used as the experimental group, Perinereisaibuhitensis and formulated diet as the control groups, comparative studies that theeffect of different diets on growth and immune parameters of Litopenaeus vannameiwere conducted. Comparing with formulated diet, earthworm, lobworm andformulated diet mixed with earthworm or lobworm significantly improved the growthof shrimp, while the survival rate for shrimps only fed lobworm was lower than thoseof other groups. The shrimps fed formulated diet mixed with earthworm and lobwormimproved the immunity compared to those only fed by earthworm or lobworm, andthe effect of earthworm is better than that of lobworm.2. Fresh diet Eisenia foetida mixed with formulated diet in different proportionswere fed to healthy shrimp Fenneropenaeus chinensis, then the growth rate andimmunological characteristics were studied. The results showed that: the diet in theproportion 1:3 of earthworm to formulated diet significantly increased the growth rateand protein content in muscle of F. chinensis, and decreased the lipid contend, but hasno significant effect on the juvenile shrimp.3. Considering the practice of mass aquaculture, frozen earthworm E. foetidamixed with formulated diet in different proportions were fed to unhealthy L. vannamei,then the growth rate, nutritional components and immunological parameters wereanalyzed, the results showed that: earthworm can significantly increase the growthrate, nutrition and immunological functions of shrimp, especially when the proportionwas 1:3 of earthworm to formulated diet.There are rich resources of earthworm in China, researches showed thatearthworm is the good choice as the diet of mass aquaculture of shrimp, which canimprove the nutritional value and immunity of shrimp as the diet.
