Analysis On Barrier Factor That Influence Sustainable Use Of Maize Genetic Diversity In Guangxi

The genetic diversity is foundation of the plant breeding, but the phenomenon of genetic erosion is very serious. A "up to down " agricultural research and promotion system whose form is due to long-term technical provision that is the main duty itself too, is losing contact with rural real requirement. It appears unsuitable under the new rural economic condition. Through the walk talking with research workers and managerial personnel in local maize breeding institute or the managerial cadres and technicians related to agricultural in counties or villages. A deep investigation toward maize-planting peasant families has been made. At the same time, in using the project "maize genetic diversity and peasant-Participating research" as a case, the author apply a systematic way to analysis the factors arousing the fall of maize genetic diversity in Guangxi and try to advance the form of new ideas.This article research conclusion as follows:(l)Local seed 's low yield, the usage and generality of hybrid vigor cause the agricultural more rely on fewer varieties, combining with the industrialization of agricultural, that's the main reason for the drop of variety diversity in guangxi.(2)The internal factor affecting the choice of the research methods is the agricultural research institution, including: Scientific research managing system; Science and technology education institution; The professional title appraisal system. All These factors will get further influence on genetic diversity of maize' hybrid in Guangxi through the some mechanism..(3)The peasants just are the acceptors but not the participants in a "up to down " agricultural research system , the system whose main body is laboratories or experimental station can not meet the peasant's realistic demand effectively, it must lead to a fault between technical research and technical application, and the effectively technical supplement in serious shortage.On the base of the conclusions above, the author proposed correspondent countermeasures and the suggestion.
