This paper studied the effect of cultivation years on soil characteristics in protected horticulture systems and vegetable's physiology characteristics and put forward the measures for improve protected field soil in Shandong province.According to investigation and field experiments, we find that in Shandong province the protected horticulture system has a great effect on the soil's characteristics and vegetable physiology. As years pass soil is pickled and it's a series of physical characteristics change greatly. And soil in protected horticulture system has effect on vegetables'physiology characteristics, which reduces vegetable's quality. We can get conclusions as follows:1. As year passes, soil's conductance in protected horticulture system increases while PH reduces, which means that soil is pickled and hyperacid.2. Protected horticulture system also has effect on soil's nutrients content. Soils organic matter, Alkali-hydrolyzable Nitrogen, Available-Phosphorus, Available- Potassium is higher than those in bare soil and as years pass the nutrients also increase, which is the main reason for soil's pickle.3. Planting corn in protected fields in summer has great effect on soil's nutrients, which will increase organic matter, Alkali-hydrolyzable Nitrogen, Available-Phosphorus, Available- Potassium and electric conductivity. And this will increase soil's salinization.4. incubated manure also affects soil's nutrients, which cause organic matter, Alkali-hydrolyzable Nitrogen, Available-Phosphorus, Available- Potassium and electric conductance to increase'and prick up soil's pickle.5. Wheat straw can decrease soil's electric conductance , which is helpful to improve soil's physical characteristics.6. Soil in protected horticulture system also has effect on vegetable's physiology. As year passes, vegetable's physiology characteristics changes greatly, which is harmful to their growth and quality.
