The present work aimed to model the growth curves of male and female locate chicken with respect to their live weight-age relationships and to determine a non-linear model explaining their growth curve better. For this purpose three different non-linear models were used to define growth curves of locate chicken, namely, Logistic,Gompertz and Bertalanffy. Considering model selection criteria, Logistic, Gompertz and Bertalanffy models seen to be suitable models for explaining locate chicken. And Gompertz model was the best in fitting and predicting body weight. JiNing cock R2=0.9994,hen R2=0.9989;LaiWu cock R2=0.9992,hen R2=0.9996. JiNing cock initial weight value is 21.67g,hen is 22.92g;ultimate weight is 1860.56g,hen is 1730.89g.The growth inflexion of the JiNing cock and hen are the age of 9.68 weeks and 9.42 weeks respectively. The adult live weight of the cock is higher than the hen notably. LaiWu cock initial weight value is 21.33g,hen is 23.58g;ultimate weight is 2116.36g,hen is 1803.99g.The growth inflexion of LaiWu cock and hen are age of 10.13 weeks, and 9.65 weeks respectively. The adult live weight of the cock is higher than the hen notably. The Bertalanffy model is the best in fitting tars metatarsus length. JiNing cock R2=0.9916,hen R2=0.9914;LaiWu cock R2=0.9956,hen R2=0.9960.In this experiment, I measured the energy budget, feed intake of locate chicken from 6 weeks to 19 weeks. And established the its regressive equations about ME intake, feed intake to metabolic body weight(W0.75/d),body weight increment(ΔW·g/d)of the chicken ME=aW0.75+bΔW. According to the equations, we calculated that the ME requirements of JiNing cock and hen were505.000 KJ/W0.75/d and 408.647KJ/W0.75/d; LaiWu cock and hen were 485.799KJ /W0.75/d and 418.475KJ /W0.75/d from 6 weeks to 14 weeks. And the requirement of JiNing cock and hen of metabolizable energy for one-gram live-weight gain was 12.195KJ and 11.046KJ, LaiWu cock and hen was 6.784KJ and 4.453KJ from 6 weeks to 14 weeks. According to the equations, we calculated that the ME requirements of JiNing cock and hen were 554.503KJ/W0.75/d and467.113 KJ/W0.75/d; LaiWu cock and hen were 547.452KJ /W0.75/d and 489.178KJ /W0.75/d from 15 weeks to 19 weeks. And the requirement of JiNing cock and hen of metabolizable energy for one-gram live-weight gain was 11.6422KJ and 17.029 KJ, LaiWu cock and hen were 15.512KJ and 27.478KJ from 15 weeks to 19 weeks.
