The cross immunoprotection among Shangha strain, Guangdong strain and Fujian strain of Eimeria maxima were studied in the experiment.The results showed that the relative decrease rate of their discharged oocysts were 98.71%,60.61% and 42.99% respectally when the chicken were inoculated by Shanghai strain, Guangdong strain and Fujian stain of E.maxima after being preimmunized orally by Shangha strain; while it was 98.89%,69.57% and 72.37% by Guangdong strain. The analysis indicated that the distinct immunoprotection existed in the same strain of the same species and. A certain immunoprotection also existed among different strains of the same species. It was confirmed that the cross immunoprotection among different geographical strains of Eimeria maxim.The immunity trade analysis on antigens of sporozoites from different geographical strains of Eimeria maxima was also made. The result indicated that the antigens of sporozoites of E.maxima had 8 bands at least by SDS-PAGE and their molecular weights were about 97.4kD, 47.9kD, 42.7kD, 35.5kD, 29.5kD, 23.4kD, 13.5kD and 10.5kD respectally. The western blot analysis showed that 4 bands can be recognized by the reaction of antigen and serum of same strain in three different geographical strains and their molecular weights were about 97.4kD, 60.3kD, 47.9kD and 42.7kD respectally; 1 band can be recognized in the antigen of Shanghai strain with immuzied serum of Guangdong strain or Fujian strain and their molecular weights were 60.3kD and 42.7kD; 1 band can be recognized in the antigen of Guangdong strain with immuzied serum of Shanghai strain or Fujian strain and their molecular weights were 60.3kD and 47.9kD; 1 band can also be recognized in the antigen of Fujian strain with immuzied serum of Shanghai strain or Guangdong strain and their molecular weights were 42.7 kD and 47.9kD. These demenstated that sepecial band exited in different strains and the antigens of different geographical strains were various.
