Aphids (Insecta, Homoptera) distribute all around the world and have about nearly 4,000 kinds, among which nearly one thousand distribute in China. According to the Zhang Guangxue's cladistic system, the aphids were divided into 2 superfamilies, 13 families, 251 genus and more than 1000 species. Chinese gallnuts, one of important medical and chemistry-industry materials, are the abnormal growths (gallnut) produced by some special aphids parasitizing on the midrib of leaves and tissues of several Rhus species. There are 14 kinds of Chinese gallnuts, among which horned gallnut is caused by the Chinese sumac aphid, Schlechtendalia chinensis. This species widely distributed in temperate, subtropical, and tropical regions in East Asia including India. At present, the studies on the Chinese gallnut aphid mainly focused on the biological characteristics, which include morphology, reproduction, life history, life habit, ecological characteristic, environmental influence, artificial breeding of gallnut aphids and the technology of increasing product et al. However, little attention has been paid to study the genetic polymorphic of this gallnut aphids at molecular level. In this paper, genetic polymorphic and structure of 8 Chinese sumac aphid Schlechtendalia chinensis populations (Congjiang, Danzhai, Rongjiang, Liping, Yonghong, Taijiang, Yangque and Tianzhu populations in Guizhou province) were detected based on ISSR markers. The follow results were obtained:...
