Zhanggutai lies on the verge of south east of keerqing sand,is subarid area , and is the earthest introduction area of pinus sylvestris var.mongolica.In recently 10 years, pinus sylvestris var.mongolica.artifical dune-fixing forest decline and die in this area .Authorities think dying and declining of pinus sylvestris var.mongolica.artifical dune-fixing forest are caused by ecological unbalance,but water is one of the most important factors in sandy ecological system balance.So, the study on situation of soil water and the relationship between it and growth of pinus sylvestris var.mongolica artifical dune-fixing forestry are necessary. Being based on a lot of field work, indoor analysis, datu collected, this article analysis systematicly this question by employing the methods of stepwise regression analysis and association analysis.Dune-fixing forest soil water analysis shows the functional factors are vegetation, climate, water table, site condition, think soil water content reduces little by little from bare sand ,brushwood, to pinus sylvestris var.mongolica forest. Association analysis think the amount of precipitation of this year and last year precipitation influence soil water content greatly;the water table in glen is high, so it can compensate soil well. The soil water of dune-fixing forest separates 4 stages by season change: soil water consumping stage, soil water accumulating stage, soil water balancing stage, and soil water steady stage;soil depth separates 3 layers by root absorbing soil water: soil water weaker utilization layer, soil water utilization layer, soil water adjustment layer. It is thought water supplied is the best in glen by appraising of effective soil water ofpinus sylvestris var.mongolica artifical dune-fixing forest in different site. Age, 4~6month amount precipitation and growth season initial soil water content are important factors by analysising water factors, soil water influences growth increment by influencing pinus sylvestris var.mongolica transpiration intensity and intensity of photosynthesis, transpiration intensity and intensity of photosynthesis is high in glen of good site condition, so pinus sylvestris var.mongolica growth is better than upper and middle dune that lie on worse site water condition, and precipitation influence pinus sylvestris var.mongolica growth through influencing soil water;and by comparising growth of pinus sylvestris var.mongolica with different water condition it is thought pinus sylvestris var.mongolica growth in Liaodong is better than Liaoxi, in mountain chestnut soil of fuxin better than in sand of Fuxin, pinus sylvestris L. var.mongolica growth situation in Zhanggutai sandy is glen ,windward, dune top from better to worse.This article puts forward reasonable forest cultivation measure by analysising pinus sylvestris var.mongolica artifical dune-fixing forest soil water and the growth situation of pinus sylvestris var mongolica,in order to increase pinus sylvestris var.mongolica artifical dune-fixing forest steady and delay pretectting maturity stage.
