In ecology, the clonal woody plant has been viewed recently as a new research field around the world, and great attention is going on. At present, the research at home and abroad about this focus on the varieties of the woody plant in reproduce strategy, morphology, physiology, the carbohydrate allocation after suffered disturbance, and less on the varieties of its growth and regeneration. Form observed the organ biomass of single ramet above-ground and sprouting shrub of Quercus liaogensis in the secondary sprouts forest at the elevation of 2100 - 2300m on the upper branch of the Minjiang river, lies in the Sichuan province, we analyzed the relationship between growth parameters and total biomass of individual ramets and components distribution of Quercus liantungensis, effects of artificial thinning on resprouting capability of Quercus liaogungensis, effects of ramets thinning to Quercus liaotungensis's growth and fructification.By researched the relationship between the biomass of brunch, leaf, bark and trunk, and growth parameters (age, height, base diameter and crown area), we found that: The distribution of organs biomass following this: trunk>branch>bark>leaf. With the scales of basal diameter increased, biomass ratio increased in trunk and bigger brunch, and decreased in other organs. Besides the relationship of S curve between age and height, the other relationship between growth parameters were power curve. The relationship between growth parameters and biomass of most organs was power function, and the basal diameter is the best parameter to estimate the biomass of organs and the total biomass aboveground.Ramets' thinning has important effects on the occurrence and growth of resprouting. More intensity of artificial thinning, bigger number and higher resprouting, while less basal diameter and single biomass. The process of seedlings growing to saplings shows a clear bottleneck during the population regeneration of Quercus liaotungensis.
