Wheat head blight (wheat scab) caused by Gibberella zeae (Schw.) Petch is one of the worldwide destructive disease of wheat in the warm, semi-humid and humid regions. Fusarium head blight (FHB) of wheat has been linked to at least 20 causal organisms, but FHB mostly caused by Fusarium graminearum in China and America. The disease not only causes significant losses in yield and reduction of grain quanlity, but also induces toxin to contaminated seeds, which is harmful to the healthy of human and livestocks. In order to identify different isolates and their , 34 single-spore isolates of Fusarium spp. were collected from Hubei,Henan,Jiangsu provinces, 3 isolates of Fusarium graminearum from Italy were used as control. The variation of cultural characteristics of Fusarium spp. was observed in PDA . Randomly amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) markers and Amplified Fragment Length polymorphic were used to evaluate the genetic diversity among 37 isolates of Fusarium spp. Fusarium graminearum isolates with different pathogenicity selected from all the isolates, we studied correlation between Activity of Alkaline protease produced by Fusarium graminearum and pathogenicity, and analyzed characterizations of the alkaline protease. The results include:1. The result of SCAR analysis indicated all the isolates belong to Fusarium graminearum.By means of Carte's classified criterion, three type of special bands including Type1,Type2,Type3.2. There was a marked diference in cultural characteristics. The isolates from the same regions and the same hosts were also diferent in cultural characteristic.3. Genetic relationships among the isolates wered etermined by hierarchical cluster method, and showed that there was high polymorphic among 37 isolates. Isolates of...
