E. grandis×E. urophylla is the hybrid variety of Eucalyptus grandis and Eucalyptus urophylla. As a kind of important short-cycle industrial raw material forest tree species, E. grandis × E. urophylla occupies an important place in the construction of industrial raw material forest and is introduced and cultivated extensively in the southward and medium sub-tropical areas of china. Under the circumstance of the absence of forest resource harvested and the structural imbalances of forest resource, how to develop industrial raw material forest and easing timber supply and demand contradiction to meet national economic and social sustainable development for the growing demand for forest products has become an important issue of our present research. Directive cultivating industrial raw material forest is the key to solving the problem. And developing the present industrial raw materials forest of Eucalyptus and studying its optimum cultivation patterns are more urgent and practical because the patterns for sustainable developing industrial raw material forest of Eucalyptus provides an effective way.At present, many domestic experts and scholars have conducted researches in breeding , introduction and cultivation, fertilization of E. grandis×E. urophylla, but these studies are still partial and piecemeal and the patterns of E. grandisXE. urophylla is not studied systematically and completely. In recent years, Eucalyptus has been developed rapidly in Fujian and about 70 percent of Eucalyptus plantations in Fujian are the E. grandisXE. urophylla clone plantations. In order to constructing the quality, high-yield, high-efficiency E. grandis×E. urophylla plantations and accelerating foresty industry development of Fujian, the study on optimum cultivation patterns for industrial plantation in Tian Ma national forest farm of Pinghe county is concerned with E. grandis×E. urophylla which is adapting , fast-growing and widely cultivated in Miannan area of Fujian through the absorption of the production experience and studying findings.
