Ginkgo biloba L. is also called white fruitage tree, it is not only the most ancient plant in the existing seed plant but also is origins from China's unique precious plant, which has the important scientific value in the botany, it is a multipurpose economical plant for food, medicine, wood and ornamental tree. In this paper, the response of Pn to elevated CO2 concentration and photosynthetic active radiation of expanding leaves, young fully expanded leaves and mature leaves of Ginkgo biloba L. were measured using the Li–Cor6400 Portable Photosynthesis System. The photoinhibition and the absorbed light allocation were measured at noon by MINI-PAM; and the concentration of Ch1a,Chlb and Chl(a+b), SLW and N were also studied; The laws and characteristics of three development stages were analysed and compared. The main results were as follows:1)The responsive curves of Pn in leaves of three development stages of Ginkgo biloba L. to elevated CO2 concentration could be described with quadratic equations, at the same condition, the Pn of mature leaves were the highest, young fully expanded leaves took second place, expanding leaves were the lowest, carbon assimilation capacity of mature leaves was the most strongest.2)The responsive curves of Pn in leaves of three development stages of Ginkgo biloba L. to photosynthetic active radiation could be described with quadratic equations, the range of light utilized by mature leaves was the widest in the three development stages, which indicated that mature leaves could use weak light and resisted strong light best.3) The variation of Amax in leaves of three development stages of Ginkgo biloba L. was uniformity with the content of Chl, N and SLW, regression analysis suggested that the relationship between Amax and the content of Chl, N was quadratic equations respectively, and the relationship between Amax and SLW was linear.4) In the three development stages of Ginkgo biloba L., the soluble sugar...
