Two experiments were conducted in this research. In stubble height experiment, PeiLiangYou 210, PeiLiangYou E32 were used , The main crop included three stubble heights (40cm, 20cm, 10cm) when they were reap in mature stage, the yield and yield components, the main physiologic characters and so on had been researched between main crop and ratooning rice. In node-cuttage experiment,PeiLiangYou10, PeiLiangYouE32 were used, the difference of ratooning rate and economical characters of auxiliary buds of different nodes in vivo and in vitro were studied. The main results were as follows:1.The analyses of the yield and yield components on different nodes in ratooning rice indicated: compared with the forth node,the second node and third node had more effective tiller numbers and higher seed-setting percent and fewer grain numbers per tiller. The second node and third node also had more contributions on yield.2.The analyses of the yield and yield components on different stubble heights inratooning rice indicated: compared with the 10cm stubble treatment,the 40cm stubble had more effective tiller numbers and higher seed-setting percent and fewer grain numbers per tiller. The yield performance were difference in two conbinations. The 20cm stubble treatments' yield and yield components performance were situated between the 40cm stubble treatment and the 10cm stubble treatment3. From research the growth characters of different stubbles height treatment in ratooning rice, we discovered that compared with the 40cm stubble, the 10cm stubble treatment have longer growth duration and bigger LAI, this is advantageous to the nutrients accumulation. Meanwhile, the 10cm stubble treatment had some other advantages such as the higher Catalase activity and the more number big vascular and the higher velocity of photosynthesis. These factors were the physiologic foundation for the higher production.
