The contents to study in plant reproductive ecology are extremely rich. It has increased the difficult in studies because the plants are very small in bryophytes. We made an on-the-spot investigation in detail in the distribution, the types and characteristics of habitat in epiphytic Dolichomitriopsis diversiformis (Mitt.) Nog.. Then we determined the samples which were removed in accordance with statistics theories in laboratory. The main study contents and main results were described as follows:1. The vertical distributive range was 1 650-2 080 m, the major populations were found on the different host tree trunks, few populations were found in soil or on naked rocks in D. diversiformis in Fanjing Mountain in Guizhou. Its habitats are different between different host trees, whereas there lied the common habitat characteristics of not more than 2 m height from the bottoms of host trees trunks, less light, high relative humidity, slow wind speed, slow evaporation speed and long time of remaining humid in middle-lower tree barks. Determining the isolated individuals indicates that it is a dioecious moss species. The morphology is remarkably different between its perichaetium and perigonium. Its perichaetium is bigger and its amount is much more than those of its perigonia and its perigonium is too small to find out. Its sporophyte is upright, its seta is long and thin, its capsule is regular long oval and its calyptra is cucullate.2. The number of perichaetium's mean in per female individual was 4.54 in epiphytic D. diversiformis in Fanjing Mountain in Guizhou and perichaetia were found in the main stems and from the primary to sixth branches. The number of perichaetia found in the primary branches was largest and was significantly more than...
