As a new (?)ort of biologic for(?)ilizor, arbuncular mycorrhizal fungi(AMF)exisis in almost all kinds of soils and forms symbiosis with nearly all families of the angiosperms. Most of the crops, fruit trees, vegetables, ornamental plants and flowers can form arbuscular mycorrhizae. The function of AM fungi between plant and soil is being a bridge, and it is the carrier of matter transport. As the carrier of matter transport from plant to soil or from soil to plant, it is very important to the development and health of plant and soil.Plant mycorrhiza and mycorrhizal fungi are being studied in many countries because of their significance in sustainable agriculture and reconstructive ecology recently. It have been confirmed that AM fungi could improve plant growth by increasing uptake of the water and mineral nutrient, increase plant resistance to several soil-borne root pathogens and tolerance to adverse circumstances. AM fungi also plays an important role in conservation of soil. Inoculation with AM fungi improves establishment of seedlings, increases output and reform quality. Consequently, AM fungi has important meaning and broad application in both of the ecosystem reconstruction and the maintenance for ecologic balance. Because of few root hairs on citrus root surface, citrus growth highly depends on mycorrhiza. In these years, the pomelo develops very quickly. The Citrus grandis cv. Changshou Shatian You is a famous pomelo in China which plays an important role for the region development of Chongqing. Some core researches surround the arbuscular mycorrhiza of Citrus grandis cv. Changshou Shatian You is designed to be done in order to probe into the field of construction of ecologic orchard. The studies of arbuscular mycorrhiza and the hair root inducing of Citrus grandis cv. Changshou Shatian You should be done under the axenic condition, and high quality of axenic seedlings are the basic of a series of related experiments. The axenic seedlings were cultivated to study the characters of development biology and the key planting techniques of Citrus grandis cv. Changshou Shatian You. The effect of illumination time on the growth of the seedling was mainly studied. The illumination days of seedlings were respectively started on the 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th day after seeding. The growth conditions of shoots and roots for seedling in 30 days were studied comparatively. The seedlings that grew best were the ones of being illuminated on the 6th day. Every batch of these seedlings was transplanted on the 12th, 15th, 18th, 21th, 24th and 27th day after seedings. The seedlings that grew best were that been transplanted on the 18th, 21th, and 24th day, and no significant difference existed among them.
