We did preliminary research on the improvement of the continuous cropping ground by means of applying microbial agent EM on American ginseng (Panax quincjiiefolius L.),and the effect of the continuous cropping ground stress on the growth of American ginseng and the change of signal substances. The results are as follows:1,The effect of EM treatment on soil microbial system in the continuous cropping ground indicates that the treatment can decrease amount of pathogen fusarium. The decreasing rate is over 26.7%.2,The EM treatment can obviously enhance the availability of N.P.K. The rates over 16%,25% and 30% individually comparing with checks. It can enhance bioactivity of American ginseng . not only the leaf weight but also root weight.3,EM can apparently enhance soil enzyme activity such as polyphenol oxidase, catalase and peroxidase. Therefore soil bioactivity and fertility can be enhanced by EM .4,The EM treatment can effectively modulate endogenous "hormone system in America ginseng root and weaken the physiological effect of endogenous ABA and G As,enhance content of the Indogenous 1AA in American ginseng root. To enhance the CTKs in the later stage means that the American ginseng root vigor is enhanced.5,EM can effectively enhance content of endogenous polyamine in American ginseng leaf in the high temperature season. It can retard leaf aging.6,The effect of EM treatment on endogenous CaM in American ginseng (?) The result indicates that endogenous CaM in American ginseng root participates in the (?) (?)lism system the continuous cropping ground. It is American good for ginseng growing.
