Objective: To explore the effect of cinnamaldehyde on apoptosis of Hela cell infected byrespiratory syncytial virus and the expression level of the apoptosis related proteins Caspase-3, Bcl-2and Bax protein in this kind of Hela cell.Methods: Hela cells were divided into5groups:(1) the normal cells group (2)respiratory syncytial virus infection group (3) with low concentration of drug treatment group0.0781mg/ml virus infection (4) treatment group0.1563mg/ml virus infection (5) mediumconcentration of drug treatment group0.3125mg/ml virus infection in high concentrations ofdrugs. All cells were trained in the condition of37℃and5%CO2. When the respiratorysyncytial virus infected Hela cells, using the different concentrations of cinnamaldehydetreated Hela cells. Changes in cell morphology were observed by electron microscopy,apoptosis was detected by flow cytometry., immunofluorescence to detect the apoptosisrelated protein Caspase-3, changes Bcl-2and Bax protein.Result: Flow cytometry was used to detect the drug group and virus control group, andfound the drug group increased the survival rate of cells. Confocal microscopy detectedCaspase-3protein fluorescence expression increased, Bcl-2expression increased, Baxexpression decreased. There was statistically significant (P <0.05). From the expression ofapoptosis related proteins and apoptosis cells can be seen of cinnamaldehyde in virusinactivation, adsorption, biosynthesis inhibition in killing respiratory syncytial virus. In thedrug pretreatment stage of cells had no significant protective effect.Conclusions: Cinnamaldehyde (exception of processing drugs) in the effectiveconcentration range by effect of virus infected cell apoptosis related proteins Caspase-3, Bcl-2, Bax to regulate cell apoptosis, killing the respiratory syncytial virus.
