Research On The Role Of Hospitals In Community Health Promotion

In order to build "Healthy City", the government of Ningbo Zhenhai District carried out a project of community healthy promotion in October,2007. By taking advantage of the hospital and community resources, facilitating the interaction with community, schools, social welfare organization, enterprise, volunteers and community residuals, this program rooted the heath promotion deeply on the groundIn the perspective of community work, my research studies the role of the hospital under the case of Zhenhai District’s community health promotion in depth. This article analyzes the views of the hospitals and community in of role identification, role play, resources connection and use, dilemma in role play and future role direction. Then it provides advice according to community work theory.The purpose of this study is concluded as following:1、Understand the role orientation and role-identity of hospitals and community in health promotion2、Learn about the role play pattern of the hospital in health promotion3、Learn about the hospitals’usage of community resources4、know about the hospitals’dilemma when playing the role in health promotion program5、Put forward some suggestions for hospitalsSuggestions are mainly given to the health administration, hospital and community.1、The health administration should enhance human resource and policy support as well as supervision work,encourage and help the hospitals to be competent contractor, improve the relationship between health and community administration.2、The hospitals should enhance the role efficacy, make various ways to enter the community, always take residents’need in to account, emphasize on the integration and utilization of community resources and help to develop mutual support network.3、The community should seize the opportunity of hospitals’twinning helping, actively cooperate with the hospitals, play the bridge role to connect each other and then cultivate the independent work ability.
