This thesis is aiming at the increasingly serious drinking water pollution problems of carbofuran, and carried out a series of research work about testing content of carbofuran in drinking water, to establish the method of solid phase extraction and high performance liquid chromatography for the determination of carbofuran levels in drinking water. This thesis consists of three chapters, mainly as follows:The first chapter introduced the background and the significance of the research. Discuss the toxicity and toxic mechanism of carbofuran, several ways to drinking water detection and the related standard limits. Introduce the principle, process and application of solid phase extraction and high performance liquid chromatography. The second chapter established the method for detection of carbofuran in drinking water:1000ml water sample was enriched by solid phase extraction, and eluted with5ml methanol, then the eluent was concentrated with nitrogen blowing instrument at35℃, constant volume to lml. Measured by high performance liquid chromatography, the linear calibration range was0.04μg/ml-2.0μg/ml, and the detection limit of the method was0.05μ g/L. The method was verified, including the detection limit, precision, accuracy and applicability. At the end, we discussed the appropriate condition of carbofuran in water from pH value, save time, solid phase extraction conditions, the detection wavelength, the analytical column, mobile phase ratio and velocity. The third chapter described the detection of practical samples, and provided the quality control of samples detection later on, then calculated the uncertainty of the method. The thesis reached the expected requirements successfully, established the method for detection of carbofuran in drinking water. This method had the advantages of low detection limit, efficient, fast, strong applicability, simple and harmless to the environment.
