The pediatric drug is used for the sick children and it is very important to children’s health. But the lack of pediatric drug has become a world common problem. It seriously affects the children’s medication security. Therefore we should establish a complete set of guarantee system for pediatric drug supply and it is meaningful for meeting the needs of pediatric drug use and ensuring he children’s medication security. This study fully understands the present situation of pediatric drug in China through field investigation and literature review, depth to explore the problems and reasons of pediatric drug in our country, analysis on the international advanced management policies and related measures about the pediatric drug and provide advice for setting relevant policies on guarantee system for pediatric drug supply in Beijing.Objective:Through the analysis of the present situation of pediatric drug in our country, carry out of the research work, and find out the problems and reasons. Analysis the current situation of foreign regulatory policy about pediatric drug through field investigation and literature review and provide advice for setting relevant policies on guarantee system for pediatric drug supply in Beijing.Significance:This study first research to set guarantee system for pediatric drug supply in our country. It is great importance to solve some problems in the pediatric drug and guarantee the children’s medication security and health in Beijing.Methods:(1) Literature analysis:Collect literature by using the Chinese and foreign database about situation and research on pediatric drug and find out the problems and reasons. Get the picture on the government’s attitude towards pediatric drug and policy details and find lessons from the experience of our country. (2)Data analysis:Use the drug data management system in Beijing, statistics and analysis pediatric drug information, production enterprises in Beijing, understand the pediatric drug present situation and problems in Beijing, to provide evidence for the guarantee system for pediatric drug supply in Beijing. (3) Business discussion and expert interview:Understand business and experts on the current pediatric drug problems and needs and provide the basis for our country related policy.Results:This study comprehensively grasps the situation on the lack of and unreasonable of pediatric drug and analysis the problems and the reasons of the pediatric drug in our country. Analysis the current situation of foreign regulatory policy about pediatric drug and find lessons from the experience of our country. Combine with the above contents in order to provide reasonable suggestions on establishing guarantee system for pediatric drug supply in Beijing.(1)Development:Make encourage policy on the development of pediatric drug to encourage to develop pediatric drug; Explore clinical trials security policy of pediatric drug to guarantee the pediatric drug clinical trials.
