Clinical Observation On Treatment Of Knee Osteoarthritis With Combination Of Fire Needle And Warming Acupuncture

Aim:To observe the clinical effect of knee osteoarthritis with the treatment of Milli-fire needle combined with warm acupuncture, and try to find a more quick, convenient and effective method of treatment of KOA.Methods:The 42 Patients were randomly divided into two groups:A group treated by the Milli-fire needle with warmed acupuncture, B group treated by warmed acupuncture. Two groups of patients choose the same points, the a-shi points (local pain points, or scleroma or cords)、HeDin、XueHai、NeiXiYan、WaiXiYan、 YinLinQuan、YangLinQuan、ZuSanLi. three treatment a week, continue treat fourteen weeks. Then, compared score of knee pain、score of knee clinical symptoms and score of knee daily activities before and after treatment for one week、two week, three week、four week, then statistic and analysis.Results:1.There has no difference in the two groups of patients of gender、age、course of disease、characteristic of pain、VAS score and score of knee clinical symptoms and score of knee daily activities(P>0.05).2.Two groups of patients after 12 times treatment, the VAS score significantly lower than before treatment (P<0.01), the two kinds of treatments are effective.3.The treatment group and the control group in the comparison of improvement rate after 4 weeks treatment(P= 0.025<0.05)suggesting that the treatment group improvement rate is better than the control group.4.4 weeks after treatment, the treatment group and the control group of knee clinical symptoms and knee daily activities, comparison in the group(P<0.01) comparison between the two group(P=0.01<0.05)suggesting that two methods of treatment for knee clinical symptoms and activity were improved, and the treatment group is better than the control group.Conclusion:1.The Milli-fire needle with Warmed acupuncture, Warmed acupuncture has curative effect in patients with knee osteoarthritis.2.By comparison, the effect of Milli-fire needle with Warmed acupuncture is much better than the simple Warmed acupuncture.
