Objective:Compare the receptor Notchl and target gene Hes-1of Notch signaling pathway between healthy persons and Psoriasis Vulgaris patients in Blood heat syndrome through leukocyte of peripheral. Compare the expression of receptor Notchl and target gene Hes-1before and after the treatment to explore whether oral traditional Chinese medicine have an effect on Notch signaling pathway.Methods:(1) Use RT-PCR to detect the expression of Notchl gene and Hes-1gene through peripheral leukocyte of10cases of healthy persons and21cases of Psoriasis Vulgaris patients; Compare PASI scores, TCM syndromes scores, expression of Notchl and Hes-1after continuous treatment of oral traditional Chinese medicine Liangxuexiaofeng San4weeks;(2) Use SPSS17.0statistical software to analyze the data obtained.Results:(1)The expression of Notchl between healthy person and Psoriasis Vulgaris have discrepancy (P<0.05); The expression of Hes-1has no difference between healthy person and Psoriasis Vulgaris patients; the patients’ expression means of Notchl is higher than the means of healthy persons in peripheral leukocyte;(2)The PASI score, TCM syndromes, Notchl and Hes-1were all declined after treatment, the conclusion have statistically significant (P<0.05);(3)The patients’ PASI scores and TCM syndrome scores have linear relationship (P<0.10) but have not such relationship with Notch1and Hes-1amplification vary.Conclusion:(1)The higher expression of Notch1and Hes-1in the same patient have an important role in the pathogenesis of psoriasis;(2) Liangxuexiaofeng San has an effect on Notch signaling pathway in peripheral leukocyte in disease of Psoriasis Vulgaris;(3) The vary of Notchl and Hes-1in the same patient is not completely unanimous which prompt inner and outer environment have an effect on the expression of Hes-1.
