Purpose:Use the Meta analysis to analyze RCT of Combination of TCM and westernmedicine treatment in hyperthyroidism, and to evaluate the effect of combiningTCM medicine and western medicine treatment of hyperthyroidism and the effectof pure western medicine treatment of hyperthyroidism, including the overallclinical efficacy, clinical symptom curative effect, situation of thyroidfunction, adverse reactions.Provide clinical evidence of EBM to combinationof TCM and western medicine treatment of hyperthyroidism in the clinical. UseOR,MD or SMD to express the effect size.Method:Query RCT literature from2003to2013of during this decade In theChinese medicine database. Application Note Express software repeatedliterature after the454paper filter. Browse the document title, abstract, readthe full article to rule out the literature does not meet the inclusion criteria. The quality evaluation of the literature of included in the study of22,heterogeneity, and extract the data. Choose Revman5.0software provided byCochrane network for Meta analysis into the research of test. Results:Total of31all included in the study of RCT test. Treatment of choiceis combined Chinese and western medicine treatment group and control group itis pure western medicine treatment. Fall off sample size of2380cases,4cases,into the statistical sample of a total of2376cases, a total of1253cases oftreatment group sample, a total of1123cases of the control sample.①The overallclinical curative effect of treatment group treat hyperthyroidism [OR and95%CI is3.65(2.68,4.99),P<0.05], Improve the clinical symptom curative effect{the overall clinical symptom curative effect [MD and95%Cl is-4.58(-5.72,-3.44), P <0.05]; Heart palpitations restless [MD and95%Cl is-1.06(-1.88,-0.24), P <0.05]; Irritability [MD and95%Cl is-0.54(-0.71,-0.37), P <0.05]; Feed more hunger [MD and95%Cl is-0.34(-0.54,-0.14), P <0.05];Hand tremors [MD and95%Cl is-0.20(-0.35,-0.05), P <0.05]; Gain weight [MDand95%Cl is-0.18(-0.33,-0.03), P <0.05]; Goiter [MD and95%Cl is-0.55(-0.78,-0.31), P <0.05]; Exophthalmus [MD and95%Cl is-0.32(-0.55,-0.08),P <0.05]},{FT3[SMD and95%Cl is-1.20(-1.59,-0.82), P <0.05]; FT4[SMD and95%Cl is-1.48(-2.07,-0.89), P <0.05]; TSH [SMD and95%Cl is0.61(0.29,0.94),P <0.05]} are better than that in control group, but that combine traditionalChinese and western medicine therapy can shorten the course of treatment.②Treatment group in the treatment of hyperthyroidism occurred when the ratioof adverse reactions to {leukopenia [OR with95%CI is0.21(0.11,0.39), P<0.05]; Liver function damage [OR with95%CI is0.20(0.09,0.47), P <0.05];Rash [OR with95%CI is0.20(0.09,0.44), P <0.05]} are less than the treatmentgroup, to combine traditional Chinese and western medicine therapy safer.③Recurrence after discontinuation of treatment group treat hyperthyroidism [ORwith95%CI is0.43(0.23,0.78), P <0.05) lower than the control group. Conclusion:Combination of TCM and western medicine therapy can improve theoverall clinical efficacy and symptom curative effect, to better improveclinical laboratory indicators of thyroid function, can shorten the course oftreatment for hyperthyroidism and reduce the recurrence rate after the drug isstopped, and can decrease the occurrence of adverse.
