Objective: To explore the related risk factors for hypertension and the effects to hypertension in adult because of the early life food shortages and malnutrition, to provide the scientific basis for the formulation of communal hypertension intervention policy.Methods:Using the method of combining stratified sampling and random sampling to select residents’ committees and rural in the 6 District of Qingdao City.In 2006,extracting 3004 residents born in the year of 1953-1970,In 2009,extracting 3010 residents born in the year of1953-1970, a total of 6014 people were selected in the two survey,4820 effective questionnaires were taken back. The 1962-1970 born population as the non exposure group(N=2501), born in 1959-1961 population as the embryonic exposure group(N=767),born in 1953-1958 population as the childhood exposure group(N=1552). Using SPSS 17 statistical software, to analyze the related risk factors of hypertension and compare the risks of different groupsResults: 4820 subjects in this survey, male 1812, accounting for 37.60% of the total number.Through the famine, age,BMI, WC,diabetes,etc.were risk factors for hypertension,women and high income were protection factors for hypertension.The population prevalence of hypertension who lived through the Great Famine was significantly higher than the unexposed group(p<0.01).Multivariate logistic analysis showed that,only adjustment the basic influence factors of hypertension,embryonic and childhood exposure group relative to the non exposed group OR(95%CI) are 2.078(1.610-2.681) and 1.453(1.179-1.792),and then adjust the disease on the basis of the above factors,OR(95%CI) are 1.914(1.477-2.480) and1.394(1.127-1.724), final adjustment of all confounding factors, OR(95%CI) are2.092(1.601-2.734)and 1.451(1.165-1.807)。Conclusion: Hypertension is caused by multiple factors, early life has experienced food shortages and malnutrition and other disasters may increase the risk of hypertension in adulthood.We should focus on people’s nutrition in the early years of life,especially focus on community women and infants and children’s nutrition and health,so as to effectively prevent the happening of the variety of chronic disease in adulthood.
