Objective:To analysis over 50 years of age vertebral compression fractures of the spine patients and healthy subjects in lumbar spine BMD,investigate the relationship between spinal vertebral compression fractures and bone mineral density, and predict the bone density of the vertebral body fracture risk threshold. Methods:Collected from January 2012 to December 2013 in shandong province- the whole bone hospital diagnosis spinal vertebral compression fractures patients over 50 years of age, 99, and over the age of 50 on examination of 208 patients, were DR digital photography and for bone mineral density using DEXA scan, will measure the bone mineral density values input SPSS17.0 software for statistical analysis, t test, analysis of variance, and the Person correlation analysis the correlation of spinal vertebral compression fractures and bone mineral density.Result: Density of fracture group is 0.8217?0.1744 g/cm2, density of the control group is1.0045 ? 0.2076 g/cm2, fracture bone mineral density bone mineral density differences with the control group has significance(p < 0.05). Aged 50 ~ 60 fractures group of bone mineral density of 0.8745?0.1590 g/cm2, controls bone mineral density of 1.0284?0.2091g/cm2; Fracture between 60 ~ 70 years old group of bone mineral density of0.7932?0.1751 g/cm2 controls bone mineral density of 0.9922?0.2271 g/cm2; Fracture more than 70- year- old age group of bone mineral density of 0.7720?0.1604 g/cm2,controls bone mineral density of 0.9080 ? 0.1881 g/cm2. The three age groups fracture bone mineral density bone mineral density had significant differences with the control group(p < 0.05). Person correlation analysis of vertebral compression fractures and bone mineral density correlation pearon the correlation of 2.38, Sig was 0.018(p < 0.05)significant difference. Vertebral compression fractures of the spine BMD dangerous threshold is 0.7241 g/cm2.Conclusion: Over 50 elderly spine bone density with age and gradually reduce, reduce risk vertebral compression fractures with bone mineral density of the spine.Through the dangerous threshold can predict the risk of spinal vertebral compression fracture.
