Objective There are 45 cases of small cell lung cancer(SCLC)tumor tissues and 20 cases of normal lung tissue adjacent to carcinoma immunohistochemical experiments, testing organizations related to blood vessels in the signal factor such as vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF), comparing the expression of DLL4 and Notch1. It clarified the interaction between signal factor, providing theoretical basis for clinical screening of anti-angiogenesis drugs.Methods Collection of pathology, the first hospital of Qingdao city from 2009 to 2014, SCLC has not been(preoperative chemoradiotherapy) postoperative archive wax block, a total of 45 cases,the patients are not undergo radiation and chemotherapy with preoperative, postoperative diagnosis have been immunohistochemical detection of CD56, Syn, CK and NSE confirmed four indicators. Among28 cases of male and female17 cases, the maximum age is 77 years old,the minimum age 29 years old. Meanwhile normal lung tissue adjacent to carcinoma wax block 20 cases as controls. Tumor tissues are measured with immunohistochemical method in normal lung tissue and the expression of VEGF and DLL4 and Notch1 protein levels, microscope observation and record positive expression rate. Using SPSS15.0 software to statistical analysis of data, data comparison between experimental group and the control way is by chi-square test, and the experimentalgroup the correlation among the indexes are by Spearman rank correlation analysis. P < 0.05 says that there is statistically significant in the difference.Results Positive rate of VEGF, DLL4 in SCLC tumor tissues were71.1% and 62.2% respectively, significantly higher than the normal tissue adjacent to carcinoma(0 and 10% respectively)(P < 0.01);Notch1expressed in normal tissues group(25%) and slightly higher than the tumor tissues(8.9%), both there was no significant difference(P >0.05).In SCLC in the tumor tissue VEGF were highly positive correlated with the expression of DLL4(rs = 0.867, P < 0.01), Notch1 and negatively correlated with the expression of VEGF(rs =-0.425, P < 0.05), Notch1 and negatively correlated with the expression of DLL4 also(rs =-0.370, P< 0.05).Conclusions Most of SCLC expression of VEGF, DLL4 in tumor tissue, together on each other and jointly promote the growth of tumor;Notch1 expression in normal tissue slightly higher than the tumor tissue, inhibit tumor growth trend; It shows that exists correlation between VEGF and DLL4 and Notch1.
