Objective To observe the effect of improving the nursing students’ CPR training with the application of PDCA cycle and individualized training. Methods 120 nursing students in our hospital were randomly divided into two groups. 60 nursing students in each group. One was control group, the other was observation group.CPR materials were released in advance, a week later the diagnostic assessment would be undertaken. The control group adopted the traditional concentrate teaching method. The observation group was based on traditional training in CPR skills. The assessment result of the observation group would be analyzed and found out the mutual problems, which would be added in First-aid,Electrical defibrillation and Circle support training as important content systemically and individually. In observation group, PDCA cycle quality management method was used in each stage with the refined assessment criteria and strict examination system. Only qualified students could enter the next stage of training or would be trained again. The results of two groups of nursing students would be compared in three aspects: CPR First-aid, Electrical defibrillation and Circle support. Results The assessment results of two groups nursing students in First-aid training, early defibrillation, circulatory support were not good before training: the scores of the control group were(70.73 ±6.85、66.50±4.38、68.51±3.27),the scores of the observation group were(70.50±6.82、67.21±5.36、69.34±3.30),There were no difference between two groups.(1) The scores of two groups of nursing students before and after First-aid training :the scores of the control group were(70.73±6.85,89.02±4.31),the scores of the observation group were(70.50±6.82,93.63 ±3.27),Two groups were both significantly improved after training, the observation group’ scores were obviously higher than the control group,(P<0.05)The difference was statistically significant.(2) The scores of two groups of nursing students before and after early defibrillation training :the scores of the control group were(66.50±4.38,88.23±2.98), of the observation group were(67.21±5.36,95.46±3.41),Two groups’ results were both significantly improved after training, the observation group scores were significantly higher than the control group,(P<0.05)The difference was statistically significant.(3) The scores of two groups nursing students before and after circulatory support training :the scores of the control group were(68.51±3.27,88.60±2.46),those of the observation group were(69.34±3.30, 96.02±4.35),Two groups results were both significantly improved after training, the observation group scores were significantly higher than the control group,(P<0.05)The difference was statistically significant. Conclusion CPR skills are the basic first aid skills that every nursing student should master. According to the different insufficiency of each student in the CPR training, the application of PDCA method with individualized training in CPR could significantly improve the training effect of nursing students’ CPR skills.
