Rice is one of the most important crops in the world. With the development of the breeding, the yield of the rice has been increased greatly. However, in the resent years, the pests which could harm the rice are giving us a lot of trouble, and have made the production decrease sharply. As a novel pest control technology, genetic modified (GM) insect-resistant crops would help to solve this problem. Two kinds of major pests in rice, such as stemborers and leaffolders, causes severe yield loss in the most rice-producing countries. Bt toxic proteins which are expressed by crylAc, cry1C*and cry2A* should be the most available methods to decrease the damage by these kinds of the pests. To improve the insect resistance, three Bt genes, such as crylAc, cry1C*and cry2A*, were introgression to 9311, Fuhui 838 and PHMS2, PHLS2, PHLS3 from the donor parents, such as Minghui 63(cry1C*), Minghui 63(cry2A*) Minghui 63(cry1Ac) respectively by molecular maker-assisted selection. The results showed that the improved lines not only get greatly resistance to the pests, but also good results of the agronomic traits. The main results in this study are as follows:1. The homozygous transgenic lines with crylAc, cry1C*, cry2A* were obtained in the different backgrounds (9311, Fuhui 838 and PHMS2, PHLS2, PHLS3).2. The conbining lines with the different two Bt genes (cry1Ac, cry1C*, cry2A*) were obtained by the traditional cross methods.3. In the field, Bt lines show the excellent resistance, especially to the stemborers and leaffolders.4. The Bt lines got a good performance in the major agronomic traits such as plant height, heading date, tillers per plant,1000 grain weight and so on, comparing to the controls. What's more, the Bt lines in 9311 background such as LX7, LX21, LX64 and the Bt lines in Fuhui838 background such as LX83, LX111, LX124 have great potential value in the application of Bt crops in the future.
