The caloric content of plants is the standard measurement of energy which shows the photosynthesis capability of the green plants. This research based on the previous studies on caloric content of plants, has focused on the regular changing of caloric and chemical composition for P.euphratica Oliv.,Populus.Russkii,Caragana microphylla Lam,Amorpha fruticosa Linn in Kelamayi area,Xinjiang Province. The conclusion in this research:(1)These two kinds of arbor and frutex trees are changing their caloric content in different parts and heights. P.euphratica Oliv. and Populus.Russkii show that gross caloric value and ash-free caloric of the woodiness and skin's of trunk are varying in a direct ratio with height increasing; branches are varying in a direct ratio with growing age;the different aged roots are varying in an inverse ratio with growing age.The parts of trunk of Caragana microphylla Lam and Amorpha fruticosa Linn at different heights, the different aged branches and roots show small difference in gross caloric value and ash--free caloric of the woodiness and skin (p>0.05).The parts at different heights of trunk skin show a big difference in ash-free caloric(p<0.05).When the heights'are changing, gross caloric value and ash-free caloric of the trunk's woodiness are varying in an inverse ratio and the skin are in a direct ratio. The different aged roots'woodiness and skin are varying in an inverse ratio when age is increasing. There is a big difference on the gross caloric of woodiness and skin of Caragana microphylla Lam and Amorpha fruticosa Linn trunk and roots at different height and age (p<0.05). There is a big difference between the woodiness and skin's ash-free caloric of trunk at different heights(p<0.05). it is not a big difference of woodiness'ash-free caloric between different aged roots(p>0.05),but a big difference in skin's (p<0.05).These arbor and frutex trees are not in an obvious tendency of woodiness and skin's ash content changing in different parts when the height and age are increasing. The changing of different parts'ash content at different height and age has no effect on the gross caloric value, but has an influential effect on the skin's gross caloric value.(2)The four kinds of tree leaves'gross caloric value, ash-free caloric and ash content are different:the Caragana microphylla Lam is the highest one with 18.69 KJ·g-1 in gross caloric value, compared to the lowest Amorpha fruticosa Linn 17.59 KJ·g-1.(3)The difference of separated unit chemical composition in trunk, branches and roots at different height and age is not prominent(p>0.05) and the tendency of changing is different. The difference of Caragana microphylla Lam and Amorpha fruticosa Linn trunk's lignocelluloses is not prominent (p>0.05), but the rest of separated until chemical composition is obviously different(p<0.05) with a changing tendency. The result of different root woodiness in cold water solubility, one percent sodium hydroxide solubility has promince difference (p<0.05),but the other chemical composition has not promince difference(p>0.05).There is a pertinence between gross caloric value and chemical composition in these two arbor and frutex trees. These result can be obtained that These two kinds of arbor were selected energy plants, the gross caloric value of the influencing factors can be ignored, can be considered biomass,or site conditions and other factors. These two frutex trees were selected energey plants, gross caloric value of the influencing factors can be considered.Analysis of gross caloric value changes, the chemical composition can be used as a factor.
