The forest is closely linked with human life, and the forest-fire destroyed the forest resource and the ecological environment seriously. So the study of the law of the forest-fire and the scientific assessment of the fire loss, which sets the stage for making the strategy of fire suppression and carrying out the command of the fire suppression, is of significance to prevent the forest-fire and protect the ecological environment. The Forest Fire Loss Assessment System is divided into seven modules which are the fire information collection, the forecast of fire action, the fire prevention information management, suppression method loss assessment, loss assessment after disaster, the display of the Ul, and the data base.Based on the study of the development situation of the forest-fire loss assessment and the classification methods at home and abroad. With the classification method and algorithm, the assessment of the forest-fire loss was assorted in terms of the forest value. The classification to reflect the fire loss included the timber resource economic loss, the ecological loss of the forest resource, the people property loss and the suppression consummation.Based on the sum-up of the forest-fire spread models'pros and cons, the forest-fire spread model was modified and established. The algorithm of the fire loss assessment was completed, and the loss assessment model was established to implement the fire prevention information management, the loss assessment of the suppression method in the disaster and the loss assessment after the disaster. In the end the feasibility of tthe system was checked by simulation. This system can set the technical base for the forest suppression.
