Cunninghamia is a species endemic to China, is also compatible with the environment in southern China's major fast-growing species and the main commercial timber. Province from Sixth Five to eight five carried out a lot during the research and has achieved fruitful results, but study after interruption, the original high-quality varieties of material degradation occurs, and the timber materials of modern industry made use of the new requirements. So determination of the growth and timber properties of 13-year-old ,1 6-Year-old,18-year-old and 28-year-old test forest showed that highth, chest diameter, volume and specific gravity of timber had great genetic variation among provenances. Objective To select fast-growing and quality Cunninghamia, 7 fine provenances were selected from 57 provenances . Their growth performance and specific gravity of timber had no significant phenotypic correlation, but their genetic correlation was negative. Modifying growth traits had trend decreased of wood specific gravity. Rongshui and Jingping superior provenances showed fast-growing trait in early stage. There was no obvious phenomena in Cong,an,Pucheng,Jian,ou, ect, but the growth rate increased with the age, especially diameter growth. These provenances showed the advantage of high production ,which suitable for popularization and application in Zhejiang province. Thereofor, Studying on provenance trial of Cunninghamia should be prolong to semi-rotation.According to the analysis of growth and wood density of 9-year (Cunninghamia lanceolata(Lamb.)Hook.)superior family regional test in Zhejiang Jiande, the result showed that growth traits had very significant difference on seed orchard and family ; wood density showed difference on family. The analysis results of 23-year Cunninghamia growth showed that there were very significantly difference in seed orchard and family. The seed orchard from Hunan province,Fujian province and Guizhou province general show better generally, provenance effect was obvious, as same as the result of provenance experiments, the most of superior families were selected from superior provenance. 22 fine families selected from 122 were -considered the best families. The practical gain of volume of 22 families was135.5~344.1, and their wood density was higher than average 0.0%~18.7%.The accuracy of fine family selected from 5-year-old and 9-year-old to 23-year-old was respectively 31.8% and 40.9%.The result analysis indicated that selection was feasible, the site effect . seed orchard effect and interaction effect were highly significant although the environmental had a great effect on seedling growth of Cunninghamia .Collected from the nationwide 20 Cunninghamia clones using RAPD molecular markers to detect polymorphism among clones, further developed the six stable SCAR marker. Based on different existing between the SCAR Cunninghamia phenotypic differences, eight single-Cunninghamia clones are the first from 20 clones were identified out of the remaining 12 clones were divided into 5 distinct from each other group. This is the first through the development of SCAR markers used successfully in 20 clones for rapid molecular identification and mutual identification that SCAR markers based on molecular identification techniques can be used as Cunninghamia clones classification and identification of an efficient aid for China Cunninghamia protection and utilization of germplasm resources has a role in promoting.
