Along with science development, the people while are enjoying rich material wealth, the modern society is confronted with serious ecological problems, especilly the effects of fertilizers and agricultural chemicals on human health. How to get out of this kind of dilemma? The traditional ecological culture of Dong ethnic group not only pursues the maximized material interests, but also emphasizes the spiritual effects, which is worth to be developed . The Dong people of Shaijiang are different from the economic rational men in modern industrial society, in the aspects of production and living, social organiztion, traditional costoms, religious rites, they deal with the human-nature relationship ,which invole some traditional Chinese philosophic thinkings, such as harmony, moderation, and forms a set of ecological value system emphasizing the unity of heaven and human.Based on the traditional livelihood(fish-farming in paddyfield) of Sanjiang Dong ethnic group , This research tries To interpret their ecological value from the angel of beliefs,, community life, village power and religious rites, and analyze their effective use of natural resource, excavate their ecological wisdom intraditional agriculture.therefore, research on this kind of traditional ecological culture is of great practical meaning, at the same time, it is also helpful in protecting and inheriting traditional culture of Dong ethnic group, as well as in protecting the diversity of culture. To some degree, it can offer a example of how to solve environmental problems.
