Blind fertilization and flood irrigation are all-pervading in Red Jujube production in Xinjiang, greatly wasting fertilizer and water. In order to explore the best quantity of fertilizer and water, the root controlling and the two factors and three levels of water and fertilizer with the root controlling experiment on the 10 years old Jujube trees at the No.9 team in experimental forest in Aksu, the main conclusions are as follows:1. The soil temperature improved 3.9℃in nutritional pits with root controlling. There were more straw in nutritional pits than contrast pits, in which the straw C/N value was 19.1, appropriating for the absorbability of Red Jujube tree to nutrition and promoting the nutrition in soil. The root controlling accelerated the root growth, and reduced the root diameter. At the same time, it also maked the roots extend towards deep. In the soil root The dry matter weight, the total length and the surface area of Jujube root in 0cm-20cm soil depth with root controlling were 3 times, 1.5 times, 1.3 times as that in contrast pits respectively, which in 20cm~50cm soil depth with root controlling were 5.2 times, 3.3 times, 3.7 times as that in contrast pits respectively. Root controlling didn't affect in the growth of overground parts of Red Jujube tree. The leaf area index difference was not distinct, but the annual chlorophyll and net photosynthetic rate of fruit expansion increased greatly. Besides, the Jujube yield increased by 13.9% with root controlling.2. Fruit production target is high grade fruit in normal size and the improve the fruit yield as high as possible. For evaluation of water and fertilizer, the yield and quality is the most important guide line.Considerated in ecological and economic, the yield and quality of TR4 were higher than others. The combination of irrigation water and fertilizer of TR4 was: irrigation water as 421m3/mu and fertilizer 80Kg/mu(N content 28kg/mu, P content 35 kg/mu, K content 17kg/mu) , which was the more better optimal. Compared with the contrast, this treatment saved water by 46.3% and fertilizer by 66.3%, besides, increased yield by 14.5%.It needed N fertilizer 2.8 kg, P fertilizer 3.5 kg, K fertilizer 1.7 kg respectively for every 100kg jujube in TR4. Compared with the contrast, the soil nutrient content hadn't been affected.Root growth, chlorophyll content, and the fruit nutrient content are higher, plant growth is relatively low.
