Four different types of seed dressing agents Celest (chemical fungicides), Thiophanate-methyl (chemical fungicides), T. harzianum (biological antimicrobial agent), Carbosulfan (chemical insecticide) were uesd to treat peanut seeds, by measuring the growth and development of peanut, economic yield, quality, soil microorganisms and other factors to evaluate effects of different treatments on peanut and environment. The results as follows:1) Celest, Thiophanate-methyl, and T. harzianum treatment can improve the germination rate and seedling rate, and Carbosulfan less effect; 2) The seed dressing can improve plant height, chlorophyll content, and number of branches per plant, number of leaves reduced other than Celest; 3) the yield components have fine changed, the total and blighted pod number per plan increased, whileas full pod number per plant only Carbosulfan increased, the number of rotted, insects-damaged, geiminated pod were reduced; 100-pod mass and 100-seed mass were significantly higher than the control, except T. harzianum, while the fullness degree lower than the control; 4) In addition to slightly lower yields of T. harzianum, the others gave extremely significant increase of yield over the control. Of the treatments, thiophanate-methyl, Celest, Carbosulfan 34.58%,25.90%,22.82% increase compared to the control, respectively;5) seed dressing agents have some impacts on the quality, T. harzianum could improve the protein and oil content, and decrease the ratio of Oleic acid/linoleic acid (O/L); Celest treatment could increase the oil content and O/L; Thiophanate-methyl treatment decreased the protein, while oil content and O/ L did not change; Carbosulfan had a limited impact on the quality indicators; 6) on the effect on the bacteria, Thiophanate-methyl kept on promotion, but T. harzianum mainly produced inhibition; on the effects on fungi, T. harzianum, Celest strongly inhibited at the former-interim stage, promote at the late stage, Thiophanate-methyl showed a opposite trend, and Carbosulfan had been promoted; as to actinomycetes, T. harzianum and Thiophanate-methyl at early period and Carbosulfan at medium period play a catalytic role, the other seed dressing agents gave inhibited effect; 7) Carbosulfan produced significant inhibition to rhizobia, while T. harzianum, Celest, thiophanate-methyl, increased the number of nodules significantly.
