With the development of transgenic plants,concerns over their potential effects on environment have been raised.Therefore,the commercialization of transgenic plants into prior the necessary safety evaluation environment.It is an important aspect of environmental safety assessment of genetically modified wheat that the ecological impacts of transgenic wheat to its wild relatives.To carry out research in this part,the type of wild relatives and their distribution should be detailed investigation.In this paper,we collate the date of wild relatives of wheat and its distribution,and we map out the distribution maps of the various genus of wild relatives and the total genus of wild relatives,and then we can have a detailed understanding of the overall distribution of wild relatives.In addition,we investigate the wild relatives of wheat and weeds resources in the mian producing areas(Shandong Province,Henan Province and the north of Jangsu Province)of china.Finally,we investigate the weeds resources in the experimental field of the effect of transgenic wheat to wild relatives.The tesult as follows:1,In china,there are rich species of the wild relatives of wheat with wide distribution.Our country play an important role in zhe history of wheat priginated.The relatives of wheat consists of 11 generas in china.2,According to the distribution map of wheat relatives of wheat,we can know that the main distibution provinces are in the north,northwest and southwest of china. The distribution in the provinces of north and south china is not very abundance,and only indvidual genera in the individual provinces in the southern.The main distribution provinces include Xinjiang, Gansu, Yunnan, Shanxi and Xizang.The main wheat producing areas is not very abundance,and the population density is small.3,We investigate the wild relatives of wheat and weeds resources in the main producing areas(Shandong Province,Henan Province and the north of Jangsu Province)of china.As the result,we find there are main 8 spcies in this areas.Aegilops squarrosa and Roegneria kamoji Ohwi widely distribute with large population density.In addition,the survey also find that there are 179 species of weeds ,belonging to 33 families,in the cornfield or the surroundings.4,We investigate the weeds resources of the first yearof the experimental field of the effect of transgenic wheat to wild relatives. Accumulating the data of first year lay a good foundation for the comparison in the future.From the experimental conditions,we find that it need to chang the speice of wild relatives,at last,we chose Aegilops squarrosa which is wide distribution in the local.5,To evaluat the environmental safety of transgenic wheat in china,the first step is to define the distribution of wild relatives of wheat,then we can have specifically targeted to research.The investigation of wild relatives of wheat in our country,the aim is to make sure ti,s distribution and growth habit.The result of investigation provid a good foundation data for the determing of the studying boject and the basic characteristics of studying objiect.
