As the center city of the west coast of the strait economic zone, the rapid economic development of Fuzhou is the strong backing for the urban construction, environmental protection and urban landscape build. However, the city construction and good ecological environment can promote the sustainable development of the economy. This study takes the six types of urban green within the scope in Fuzhou city as the research object; starting from the plant community structure, investigated six types of urban green plant species diversity and the composition of plant landscape in Fuzhou; analyzed plant species number, species richness index, species diversity index, species evenness index and species dominance index of the six types of urban green, and discussed the effects of the landscape space composition, color composition and texture landscape to building plant landscape. The results of the study indicate that:(1) Investigated 30 locations in Fuzhou area, and taking the typical sampling method to set up 180 square sampling, each with the areas of 100 square meters. The survey indicated that there are 152 kinds of arbor, 82 kinds of shrub, 35 kinds of herbal within six types of urban green space in Fuzhou, belonging to 89 families 207 genera 303 species. Pteridophytes have 2 families, 2 genera and 2 species, gymnosperms have 7 families, 15 genera and 22 species, angiosperms have 80 families, 190 genera and 279 species. Of which the most abundant species are in park green space, followed by specific green space, public facility green space, residential green space, curbside green space, curbside green space and road green space.(2) Based on the investigation in Fuzhou urban green space of artificial plant communities, it used the important value size to divide the advantage species within six types of green plant layers. The calculation of species number, individual number, species richness index(R), species diversity index (H), species evenness index(J)and species dominance index(C) of each community and different levels of six types of urban green in Fuzhou indicated that most species come from the park green space, but road green space species at least. Then the richness index (R), species diversity index (H), species evenness index (J) and species dominance index (C) of six types of urban green space were compared into each other. Finally, further analysis of the species richness index(R), species diversity index(H), species evenness index(J)and species dominance index(C) of the difference of six types of urban green space indicated that drawn species richness index(R): from large to small, park green space> specific green space> public facilities green space> residential green space> curbside green space> road green space; species diversity index(H): from large to small, residential green space> road green space > specific green space > curbside green space > park green space > public facilities green space; species evenness index(J): from large to small, road green space > residential green space> specific green space > curbside green space > park green space > public facilities green space; species dominance index(C): from large to small, public facilities green space> park green space> curbside green space > specific green space > road green space > residential green space. This research shows that in the construction of the urban green space, rich plant species, complex community structure is the key to build diversified plants.(3) Garden plant diversity is the basis of building diversified plant landscape. What is more, beautiful plant landscape must be combined with plant landscape constitution: plants can form open space, semi-open space, covering space, enclosed space and vertical space, bringing people different visual and psychological feeling; plant colorific collocation can bring people different psychological reflection; reasonable use of color can also create a beautiful and variety of plant landscape; plant texture is one of the most important characteristics of plants, scientific use of different textures of plant materials would change the landscape space, giving people different mental feeling. Anyhow, the combination of plants space composition, color composition and texture landscape in plant landscape construction should be emphasized.This research made a systematic investigation and analysis of plants species diversity of urban green space in Fuzhou, and it provides a theoretical guidance and reference basis for plant landscape construction about space composition, color composition and texture landscape in Fuzhou, also it has great significance to improve the level of urban green space building in Fuzhou. Meanwhile, it can provide a certain reference of the landscape construction for other cities.
