Xinjiang Brown cattle are bred in the 70s last century. It is not only produce more meat and milk, but also have the characterize of the fast growth, strong, robust physique, and resistant to crude feed, environmental adaptability.A total of 116 cattle were genotyped for Hinfâ… restriction site in 6th exon of POU1F1, Aluâ… restriction site in 5th exon of GH, SnaB I restriction site in 5'flanking region and Nruâ… restriction site in 4th intron of IGF1, Bsr.â… restriction site in 2th exon of IGF2 by applying PCR-RFLP method. Association of polymorphisms of this genes with early growth traits (birth weight, body weight and body size from one month to nine months). These works is the basic for use Xinjiang Brown cattle to molecular breed.1. Association of polymorphisms of POU1F1/Hinfâ… with early growth traits in Xinjiang Brown Cattle.PCR-RFLP technology was used to detect single nuclear polymorphism (SNP) of POU1F1/Hinfâ… in 116 Xinjiang Brown cattle. The results showed that POU1F1/Hinfâ… locus which the frequencies of AA, AB and BB were 0.138(16), 0.474 (55) and 0.388(45), Chi square test showed that the Xinjiang Brown cattle population was in HardyWeinberg equilibrium in POU1F1/Hinfâ… locus, which indicated that the population could not be affected by selection.Using least squares analysis showed significant differences were observed in the age of 6-9 month body with weight between AA and AB (P<0.05), between AA and BB of individuals (P<0.05). The results showed POU1F1/Hinfâ… may be selection marker with the early growth traits for Xinjiang Brown Cattle.2. Association of polymorphisms of GH/Alu I with early growth traits in Xinjiang Brown Cattle-GH polymorphisms were investigated in 116 Xinjiang Brown Cattle. Two alleles for the GH locus, leucine (L) and valine (V) were observed. L and V allele frequencies were 0.6638 and 0.3362. Genotype effects on early growth traits were investigated by the least square method. Significant effects were found for VV genotype on body weight and body length (P<0.05) from the one month to four month old, with negative effects. There were not significant effecte in the VV, LV, LL genotypes on brith weight and fifth month to ninth month body weight, through the body weight have the trend LV and LL > VV genotype never change.3. Association of polymorphisms of IGF1/SnaBl, IGF1/Nruâ… and IGF2/Bsrâ… with early growth traits in Xinjiang Brown CattleThe IGF1/SnaBl, IGF1/Nruâ… and IGF2/Bsrâ… polymorphisms were investigated in Xinjiang Brown Cattle. The results showed that IGF1/SnaBl, IGF1/Nruâ… and IGF2/Bsr I have polymorphisms in Xinjiang Brown. Associations of genopyges with early growth traits, there were not significant effecte in Xinjiang Brown cattle.4. The growth curve of the genotypes in POU1F1 and GH genesThe growth curve fitting by nonlinear regression was described growth and development of animal characteristics. The growth courses different genotypes of POU1F1 and GH in Xinjiang Brown cattle could describe by three kinds of Logistic, Gomperta and Von Bertalantfy growth curves. The results showed that BB genotype have the fastest growth rate and greatest weight limit in all off the genotypes of POU1F1, meanwhile, the growth inflexion of BB genotype were later then other two genotypes. In the genotypes of GH/Aluâ… , LL genotype have the fastest growth rate and greatest weight limit in all off the genotypes of POU1F1, meanwhile, the growth inflexion of LL genotype were later then LV and VV genotypes.
