Existence and development of Human being has been puzzled by desertification..Thi s phenomean is mainly caused by two factors:Soil salinization and the shortage of water resource. Vegetation restoration is the most important method in preventing desertificati on. Vegetation restoration on Soil salinization, saline water irrigation, choosing salt-resista nt plant and researching its salt-endurance,which are the key points of solving Vegetatio n restoration. Taking Puccinelia tenuiflora for example as experimental materials, the infl uence of its germination percentages and average germination time is studied.The effectiv e method of breaking seed-resting is found by using different temperature ways. Meanwh ile,the lysis of salt threat in different concentrations of CaCl2,and germination in different depths also is studied.The major research results are as follows:1.Dealing with Puccinelia tenuiflora 9d under the circumstances of Low-temp 3-5℃, it can be broken seed-resting effectively,and germination percentages can reach 88%.2.Low concentrations of NaCl and Na2CO3 have no obvious influences on germinati on percentages, on the contrary, it can accelerate.When concentrations of NaCl are abo ve 2.5%, concentrations of Na2CO3 is above 3.0%, germination is restrained obviously.the higher concentrations are,the stronger restraint is,and the longer the time of germinatio n is.; when concentrations of NaCl is 5%, concentrations of Na2CO3 are 5.5%, both of th e germination percentages are zero.3.With the threat of Na2CO3, the best lysis of CaCl2 is 3%.At this time, germination percentages get rise to 26%, with the threat of NaCl, the best lysis of CaCl2 is 2.5%,the n germination percentages get rise to 17%.4.Concerning the depth of burying seeds, the depth of burying is o.5cm, emergence percentages is best, buds emerge on 12th day. emergence percentages is 9%, on 27th day, emergence percentages reach 73%. The emergence span is 15days. When the depth incre ases to 3 cm, emergence percentages is zero.This thesis focuses on the research of Puccinelia tenuiflora,observing physiologic al changes of its germination ecological characteristics. In the light of its salt-resista nce,effective data are supported to improve desertification and taking advantage of sali ne water irrigation.Meantime, theoretical evidence is offered to improve and control S oil salinization in Northwest.
