In recent years,the degradation,desertification and soil erosion of typical grassland are becoming more serious,and the deterioration of ecological environment is getting worse.In order to provide a scientific basis for water-soil conservation and ecological restoration of typical grassland,we studied the vegetation and soil infiltraion capacity and soil physical characteristics from different ages of enclosed plot in Baiyinxile Ranch of Xilingol grassland,and analyzed the difference in the soil seepage capacity and the main reasons leading to this difference of typical glassland with different recovery period enclosed plots.1. The prohibition of grazing affected the community structure,gr assland productivity and vegetation composition significantly,restora-tion changed the community dominant species,increased the upgrou-nd bi omass and biodiversity.2. With the restoration succession,community blowground biomass increased,but the surface advantage were obvious.3. With succession restoration sequence developing from junior t o senior,0-20cm soil physical properties changed significantly, soil str ucture got a good improvement.4. In different stage of restoration succession,the capacity of the soil seepage was different.With the increase of the restoration succession years,the soil seepage capacity enhanced.5. The strength of soil infiltration capacity was related to manyf actors, soil physical properties influnced the soil infiltration obvious-ly. The up-ground and below-ground biomass of different recovery community also influnced the soil infiltration obviously.6. By observing the micromorphology of soil surface,from the micro further explained restoration made the soil surface structure improvement significantly.7. It can be sure that near the surface of soil,the community behavior of restoration succession had priority to occur law,there was compaction layer in surface soil of typical grassland community unders everely degraded state.Thus the mechanistic link leading to the degradation of grassland community under over-grazing condition——plants individual miniaturization is caused by the compaction of soil surface by livestock trampling,and the existence of soil compa-ction layer reduce the permeability of the soil,and the leakage capaci-ty dec lined.
