SVCV is a serious pathogen of an acute contagious viral disease of Cyprinidae with important economic impact. A notifiable disease designated by the Office International des Epizooties (OIE) and China.SVC (spring viremia of carp) is caused by SVCV. The disease is widespread in many of common carp, where it causes significant morbidity and mortality.Because of SVCV happens at spring when temperatures rise, generating the name. The pathogenic microbe is Spring Viraemia of Carp virus. SVCV belongs to Rhabdoviridae, Its Protein spectrum are similar to the member of Vesiculovirus. In 1994, SVCV are delimited the tentative member of Vesiculovirus by ICTV.SVCV is a nonsegmented, negative-stranded RNA genomes. There are 5 genes which encode 5 structural protein. The Spring Viraemia of Carp genome encodes five proteins: nucleoprotein (N), phosphoprotein (P), matrix protein (M), glycoprotein (G) and polymerase (L)To screen the mimic antigen epitopes of Spring Viraemia of Carp from phage display peptide library. At first, The purified antibody IgG from Sick rabbits sera with SVCV was prepared by affinity chromatography. This purified IgG was coated on the polystyrene plate to screen the target phage containing mimic epitope antigen of Spring Viraemia of Carp antigen by reacting with the phage of phage display peptide library repeatly. The target phage clones were characterized.A batch of positive clones were obtained, some of them were able to react with the serum IgG of Sick rabbits with SVCV and the high OD values were showed. The results of Western blotting indicated that these phage clones could be recognized by the serum of Sick rabbits with SVCV and their immnune antigenicity resembled to the antigens of Spring Viraemia of Carp.So a batch of phage clones containing mimic epitopes of the antigen of Spring Viraemia of Carp were obtained, which make a good place for investigating the function of these mimic antigen epitopes in the diagnosis and vaccine of SVCV further.
