Forest fire is a kind of very harmful disaster to social environment. And forest fire spread process is very complex. With the steady accumulation of knowledge of fire and the rapid development of information technology, fire spread simulation research gradually turns to quantitative simulation in the space range, and plays more and more important role in forest fire prevention. Cellular automata has strong space modeling capability and operation ability, can simulate the complex space-time characteristics of dynamic system. The essentially sell-organization characteristic of Cellular automata is very close to the fire behavior.This paper presents a new fire spreading simulation model, By Combined with the theory of Cellular automata, and improved Wang Zhengfei-Mao Xianming forest fire spread model. The developed model fully expresses the main forest fire spreading factors from in the cellular space, such as fuel type, temperature, humidity, slope, and wind rate and wind direction, etc. And In this model expressions of the rate of fire spread to eight neighboring cells in the Moore neighborhood were deduced, so the rule that updates the state of cells in the lattice was proposed.Finally, the proposed Model was expressed to computer algorithm used by objected-oriented programming language and geographic information system second development tools, and simulates the fire spread situations which were influenced by temperature, humility, wind, terrain and fuel type. The simulation results show that the developed model can reflect the spreading rules of the forest fire, so it can play a guiding role for forest fireproofing and firefighting, etc.
