Soil erosion is more and more serious and has threatened to social stability and security,so we must make great efforts and pay more attention to water and soil conservation. We should put the research for soil erosion at the most important position.This paper discusses the establishment of the soil erosion caused by sloping surfaces assessment index system,and select quantification theory to realize the qualitative assessment and quantitative predictive for the soil erosion of the farming slope experimental plots in YunXi by compareing many methods in this research area. By combining this two methods,the soil erosion in this area can be grasped accurately.This paper gets some efficient results. Based on soil erosion factors discovered by researchers, we analyse the characteristics of the slope runoff plots in YunXi to establish the index system, combining the historical data of soil erosion.The index system includes annual rainfall, annual erosive rainfall, gradient,farming method and annual runoff.The index system includes qualitative and quantitabive factors..According the system index established,we build the qualitative assessment based on quantification theoryⅡthrough historical data.The accuracy of this model is 87.39%.We evaluate the testing samples by this model,and the accuracy rate is 90.9%.All of these results demonstrate the correctness of this qualitative assessment model. We build the quantitative predictive equation based on quantification theoryⅠthrough historical data.The accuracy of this model is 0.861.We predict the results of the testing samples by this model to get an acceptable error from 1.69% to 15.74%。All of these results demonstrate the Correctness of this qualitative assessment model, and the achievement of this paper can provide a helpful reference for water and soil conservation in YunXi.
